Connecting Indigenous artisans with the world through authentic, handcrafted excellence and cultural preservation.
Empowering Native Artisans One Purchase at a Time
It started with a father's determination to help his son learn to read. Richard Chance taught himself to code and created an app that not only helped his son but thousands of children worldwide. This entrepreneurial spirit led Richard and Jennifer to found Green Country Media in 2017, specializing in mobile app development.
But their biggest breakthrough came when they witnessed their daughters, Tehya and Aiyana, being repeatedly ripped off selling their artwork online. As Cherokee citizens, Richard and Jennifer saw this wasn't just a family problem—it was a crisis affecting Native artists everywhere.
"Almost daily I look at the Native arts and crafts groups on Facebook and people are getting ripped off. There have to be huge amounts of trust for both the vendor and the buyer and people are getting taken advantage of. That isn't fair."
— Richard Chance, Founder
FAME (First Americans Marketplace Exchange) bridges the gap between Indigenous artisans and global customers who value authentic, handcrafted goods. We're not just an e-commerce platform—we're a movement for cultural preservation, economic empowerment, and meaningful connections that protect both artists and art lovers from fraud while celebrating authentic Native heritage.
Born from the recognition that Indigenous artisans needed a dedicated platform to showcase their authentic craftsmanship to the world while preserving their cultural heritage.
We create partnerships with Indigenous communities, ensuring that every transaction supports the artisan directly and respects traditional practices and cultural significance.
Today, FAME connects customers worldwide with authentic Indigenous artwork and products, creating sustainable income for artisans while preserving cultural traditions for future generations.
